OPTION 01
Segregated storage
Metals are packaged, labeled, and held physically apart from other customers’ holdings. Ask how your particular items are identified and returned.
STORAGE, SIMPLY EXPLAINED
Learn the difference between paying for the metal, paying for the account, and paying to safeguard the holdings.
The metal purchase includes the product price and any premium. The IRA has administration charges. Storage safeguards the physical holdings and has its own terms and cost. Ask for all three in writing so you can compare the complete arrangement.
Equity Trust can administer the IRA. Delaware Depository can store the metals. The first handles account records and instructions; the second handles the safekeeping service. Knowing the distinction helps you direct each question to the right place.
Ask where the metal will be held, how it is identified, what insurance covers, what you will pay each year, and how you would sell or request a distribution. Keep the answers with your purchase records instead of relying on memory.

Personal storage and IRA storage have different account arrangements. For IRA holdings, coordinate changes and distributions through the custodian.
